 ► TeacherInsight Questions
Click [here] to open/close common TeacherInsight questions and answers.

TI-1

► Q. What is TeacherInsight?

    A.
Simply put, TeacherInsight measures the likelihood of an applicant’s
success in his or her role as a teacher. The assessment was
developed by the Gallup organization based on more than 30 years
of research into the talents of the very best teachers. Ultimately,
TeacherInsight measures teacher talent. It doesn’t measure subject-
matter knowledge or teaching skills. Gallup’s research indicates that
teaching excellence comes from the combination of knowledge,
skills, and talent. Knowledge and skills alone are not enough to
determine whether a teacher will be successful in his or her role.
Talent is. The School District of Lee County uses TeacherInsight
along with other candidate information when hiring teachers.

TI-2

► Q. Who is required to complete a TeacherInsight assessment?

    A. Instructional applicants who are not currently employed with the Lee
County School District as a regular- fulltime teacher are required to
complete a TeacherInsight assessment before they can be
         considered for employment.

TI-3

► Q. How do you access and complete the TeacherInsight
         assessment?

    A.
The TeacherInsight assessment is accessed through a unique code
embedded web link assigned to an instructional applicant after they
have successfully submitted an instructional employment
application. This is the only way to access the assessment. To re-
access the assessment for any reason an applicant must resubmit
his/her employment application and follow the link on the successful
         submission splash screen.
