    Salary Schedule Ratification

November 4, 2008

On November 3, 2008, the Board ratified both the SPALC and TALC agreements which effectively change the salary schedules for this contract year. Both agreements call for a 3% salary schedule enhancement retroactive to the date of hire or July 1, 2008 whichever is later.  The Board also agreed to a 3% salary schedule enhancement for Salary Schedule N retroactive to the date or hire or July 1, 2008 whichever is later.

The changes to the TALC salary schedule including retroactive pay will be reflected in the November 25, 2008, payroll. For SPALC and Salary Schedule N these changes will be reflected in the December 15, 2008, payroll.

In addition to the salary schedule changes, the District health insurance plans will also change as indicated below:

  • The 927 plan will be discontinued on April 1, 2009.

  • The BCBS HMO – “Bluecare 10” will be offered along with the current 903, 706 and 118 plans for 2009-2010 plan year.

The benefit bank dollars will remain $6,372.00 for the 2009-2010 plan year.

The Board acted to provide substitute teachers with a pay increase of 3% which will become effective on November 6 and will be reflected in the November 25 payroll.

The Administrative Salary Schedule will not be increased at this time.
